Had problems just days after the 5-year warranty expired - thought we would still be covered because the installer wrote "ten year warranty" on the contract.Goodman said they had no record of our warranty.

The installer said this was common with Goodman - but for some reason he still does business with them per his web page.

So we paid $1800 for another repairman to fix the AC - the repair did not work - we are now being told to replace the entire system. It takes a lot to make me angry - Goodman can cheat with the best of them.

Monetary Loss: $6600.

IF YOUR INSTALLER OR THE CUSTOMER DOES NOT REGISTER THE UNIT OR UNITS WITHIN A SPECIFIED NUMBER OF MONTHS, THE MANUFACTURE IS MOST LIKLY NOT GOING TO BE RESPONIBLE FOR YOUR EQUIPMENT.

Goodman requires the homeowner to register the equipment for a 10 year warranty. This should have been relayed to you by the installing contractor as Goodman does not have record of every install address where their equipment is sold. This is very unfortunate.
